As the official S-Bahn Kärnten network map is geographical but not well legible I gave it a shot and tried my own version of a non-diagrammatic map. It is based on the official one but with various improvement - corrected and coherent spelling of station names, inclusion of S-Bus lines, river and lakes and all horizontal texts.
Another reason for my redesign is that in December 2023 new electrified S3 between Klagenfurt and Wolfsberg went into service. It uses the Carinthian part of the Koralmbahn railway line which will directly connect Klagenfurt and Graz starting 2025. The new S3 has a new express service called REX3 during rush hours cutting travel times to 45 min. The express trains bypass Bleiburg and don’t stop at every station.
